As part of the implementation of its global collaborative platform, Naval Group (former DCNS) selected XWiki in order to meet two key business needs:

• Quickly launch knowledge bases internally
• Create business applications to meet their information collection and diffusion needs

Naval Group selected XWiki Enterprise for its ability to launch new wiki sites very quickly as well as its application creation capabilities. The solution was also integrated with Naval Group's single sign-on and its Liferay-based portal. XWiki had to meet their stringent security criteria in order to be implemented.

New applications are created on-demand when users request them. The IT department is able to launch a new app very quickly and make it available to its intended audience. Using XWiki, users can share information about business-specific issues and make sure that the right persons have the right pieces of information at the right time.
